Meet Michelle
Michelle Jack had climbed ranks in corporate America as a vice president when she began to ask, “what’s next?” in terms of her career and education. She considered acquiring an MBA but decided she already knew what she needed to know about running the technical aspects of a business.
As a black and white thinker with a background in finance and operations, what she needed to improve was how she solved the people problems that arise in organizations.
"Everything I learned at HDO I leverage every single day."

Seeking Challenges
After rising to the challenge of managing the construction of one of the largest buildings in the United States, Michelle began looking for her next opportunity. She knew she wanted to pursue an advanced degree but was unsure of the best way forward.
After careful consideration, Michelle decided that she wanted to learn how to capitalize on the human element of business.
Earning the Degree
The Human Dimensions of Organizations (HDO) Master’s Degree program checked all the boxes for her. The program provided a more technically-minded Michelle with the tools she needed to manage people and lead them through conflict.
Michelle graduated in 2018 alongside her cohort of twenty professionals.
Seeing in Color
After completing the degree, Michelle says not only does she see shades of gray instead of black and white, but she sees colors and calls the program transformational in all aspects of her life, not just in the workplace.
"Had I had [HDO] twenty years ago, no telling where I would be today."
