The University of Texas at Austin once again invites the community to celebrate the season with Longhorn Lights, the annual holiday light show made up of nine miles of orange and white twinkling lights.
Longhorn Lights runs along Guadalupe Street between 21st and 24th, also known as The Drag, and is free and open to the public for all to enjoy nightly from November 19—January 1, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Whether you're on foot or driving by, the festive light show will be a joyous experience for the entire community. TxEEE plays an important role in helping research centers at the Cockrell School of Engineering bring their innovations into action. Partnering with the Energy Emissions Modeling and Data Lab (EEMDL), TxEEE launched a new course in 2023 that trains professionals in the energy sector on how to accurately and effectively collect data on methane emissions using methods developed by EEMDL.
