Recognizing this The University of Texas at Austin Extended Campus is shifting to lifelong learning opportunities offering new executive development programs, online degree programs, noncredit classes, and professional certifications, making full use of all of UT’s available resources. It has given professionals more chances to add valuable tools to their inventory as they reskill and upskill in an ever-changing work environment.
"I was looking for more tools and techniques to add onto my skillset," said Samiksha Solanki, a technical project manager with 3D printer manufacturer EOS North America. Her company paid for her to enroll in the UT Extended Campus project management certificate program.
"The first project I worked on I completed on time and on schedule and handled a big team, and it has been recognized by my CFO and they have provided me a cash reward for that," Solanki said.
"We’ve been working really hard to provide access to lecturers, professors, and industry experts that once was limited to students in traditional degree programs," said Art Markman, former senior vice provost of academic affairs for UT Austin.

Master of Science of Information and Security Privacy
This 21-month program from UT Austin's Center for Identity and School of Information provides foundational theory, concepts and practical applications of information security technology and policy across a wide range of market sectors and applications.
Graduates will understand information governance and control frameworks, as well as risk assessment, mitigation theory, current and emerging privacy laws and regulations and much more. Plus they will leave the program with effective strategies for communicating within an organization and across organizations to a diverse set of stakeholders and organizational units.
Master of Science of Nutritional Sciences
The University of Texas at Austin’s Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences (MSNS) online program provides in-depth human nutrition knowledge for current and future professionals working in health-related fields, whether in clinical nutrition, community health or private setting.
Students can choose between two concentrations. The Biochemical and Functional Nutrition concentration is designed to support clinical applications. The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention concentration prepares graduates to work in areas of public health and wellness.
