Alex Gabbi
During his 30-year career, Alex Gabbi, MBA, has planned, funded and successfully launched six startups in the consulting, enterprise software, hardware, sports and consumer product spaces. He also served in various sales leadership capacities and provided marketing consulting services to a wide variety of industries, from non-profits to medical technology and more.
Gabbi also has more than 18 years of instructional experience in entrepreneurship, business operations, strategy and marketing at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He was responsible for the development of multiple courses at McCombs and is a regular lecturer on non-profits in the Liberal Arts Honors Program.
Gabbi has over six years of executive and board level experience in the non-profit sector. He serves as Executive Director of Wonders & Worries, a non-profit focused on helping children who have a parent with a serious or life-threatening illness.
Gabbi earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in international business and finance and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information management and technology strategy, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
In 2021, 2022 and 2023, Gabbi was recognized for teaching excellence with placement on the BBA Faculty Honor Roll. In 2021-2022, Gabbi was the recipient of the Hank & Mary Harkins Foundation Award for Effective Teaching in Undergraduate Classes.
